Save Oceanside Sand

Save Oceanside Sand was founded by a group of locals who refused to watch their beaches disappear.

What started in 2019 as a few concerned citizens of Oceanside, California, has grown into a dynamic team of coastal advocates — all united by a love for Oceanside’s beaches and a commitment to support permanent and effective solutions for habitat restoration through beach sand nourishment and retention initiatives.

Save Oceanside Sand continues to provide valuable outreach and comprehensive education concerning our critical shoreline conditions as well as the potential solutions that can help preserve and protect our precious coastal environment for future generations.

We come from different backgrounds, but we’re all here for the same reason:
we love our sandy beaches,
and we’re determined to keep them around for future generations
