John has been a lifelong resident of Oceanside since 1956. He is the grandson of Kenyon and Louise Keith, founders of the South Oceanside St. Malo Community in 1927. His entire career has focused on commercial real estate with expertise in Industrial warehouse properties, including leasing, sales, and land entitlement.
He has an extensive background in dealing with complex land entitlements, permitting etc., with the California Coastal Commission, SANDAG, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, US Fish and Wildlife, Coastal Conservancy, Audubon Society, and numerous local municipalities. John was the point person on behalf of the four key property owners (St. Malo Association as a lead property owner) for the Buena Vista Lagoon Restoration project with all the agencies listed above. EIR certified in 2020. He is a St. Malo Board Member, St. Malo Architectural Committee Member, and key liaison for the St. Malo community (83 homes in S. Oceanside).
John enjoys ocean activities, golf, tennis, and skiing. He joined the SOS board shortly after its inception and has been a major force and contributor to the SOS engagement with the City of Oceanside.
