Sand is a precious commodity. As it goes missing, we won’t let it go unnoticed.

Save Oceanside Sand is a group of local advocates for sustainable sandy beaches in Oceanside, California. Working with local, regional, state, and federal authorities, we encourage the City of Oceanside to design, approve and fund a sustainable and permanent solution to Protect and Restore the natural ecosystems disappearing from our beaches.

As residents of Oceanside, California, one of the reasons we live here is because we love our beaches. It's a staple of our lifestyle. Many of us have grown up here, lived here for decades, and have raised (or are raising) the next generation of avid beachgoers. But as it stands, today, 2/3 of our beaches are not dry. We've blunted our natural sources of obtaining sand on our shoreline. We will not get it back until we replenish it and build a sustainable solution to retain it. Our beaches are a resource that we must preserve for generations to come.
