The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Needs Your Input

In September, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) presented two briefs on the San Diego County Shoreline (Oceanside) mitigation study. This is a study they recommenced to identify a solution to mitigate the shoreline erosion caused by the construction of Camp Pendleton Harbor.

The three alternatives considered in the Study are:

  1. Beach renourishment

  2. Beach renourishment with groins

  3. A no-project alternative

We encourage you to submit your comments on the alternatives currently under development by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to mitigate the shoreline erosion caused by the construction of Camp Pendleton Harbor.
