Giving Tuesday | Board of Directors Nominations | RE:BEACH

Only to the extent that we restore & protect our coastal habitat can we sustain a healthy local economy in Oceanside.

It’s Giving Tuesday. SOS is now officially a 501(c)(3) charitable org!

In addition to the wide appeal & success of our local business Dine, Shop & Donate FUNdraisers, SOS is now accepting flat & reoccurring lump-sum donations, as we continue to gain momentum and progress toward finding solutions for our coastal restoration and habitat sustainability. And as always, SOS fully supports the work of RE:BEACH and the City of Oceanside, so read the latest on both of those sites (and subscribe to their emails)!

Dear SOS Community,

I hope this finds you all enjoying the amazing fall weather, our low-low tides for long walks on our amazing shoreline. It is our Oceanside shoreline habitat that RE:BEACH is working towards a plan to restore and retain sand on our beaches! The final public workshop is on 13 December…I’ll see you all there!   Remember to view and provide feedback on the 2nd round of designs at rebeach.org.    

Board of Director nominations close in two days, on November 30th, so if you or someone you know is interested in applying, please review all the details in our previous message here.

The Board of Director election will be held by the incumbent Board of Directors next month, December, 2023.

Wondering how to support the SOS mission but don’t have time to volunteer?  Show your support by donating to ensure SOS outreach and education will continue to grow and influence sustainable solutions to restore and retain sand and habitat on our Oceanside shoreline.
