Despite meetings with Oceanside’s Council members and City staff, the restoration and preservation of our beaches continue to be woefully under-funded. Dear Save Oceanside Sand Advocates,

Oceanside’s beaches are disappearing — and our City is not budgeting enough to stop it. We have a critical opportunity to demand action:

• WHEN: Wednesday, April 30th, 5:30 PM

• WHERE: Oceanside City Hall – Budget Workshop

The Ask: We are urging City Council to significantly increase beach restoration funding.

We’ve recommended:

• $5 million in FY 2025/26

• $4 million recurring every year after

Without this funding, Oceanside may lose out on millions in grants — and more importantly, we risk losing our beaches entirely.

Key Facts:

• RE:BEACH and Regional Beach Sand Project 3 (RBSP III) alone could cost Oceanside $12.2 million (based on a 15% cost share).

• Current budget plans do not reflect the real need for sand restoration.
