Oceanside’s beaches need funding now! Urge City Council to support sand restoration by emailing them today and joining us at the March 26 meeting. Take action to protect our coastline!

Dear Save Oceanside Sand Advocates,

Oceanside’s beaches are disappearing, and we have a crucial opportunity to push for action. On Wednesday, March 26, at 5:00 PM, the City Council will vote on a MAJOR funding decision for Oceanside’s beaches:

• Approving a $25 million grant application for the RE:BEACH pilot project, that requires a 15% city funding commitment, and will give us 900,000 cubic yards of sand.

• We are also asking that they allocate funding to the existing beach restoration fund to $5 million this year, and follow that with additional annual allocations of at least $3 million.

We need your help showing your support before the vote!

Doing so will ensure that our beaches are restored and our coastline is protected from erosion and storm surges while we await full shoreline implementation of RE:BEACH.
